Aaron Pilsan, 2014

Aaron Pilsan was born 1995 in Dornbirn, Austria, and is internationally regarded as a shining talent. At the age of five he began to play the piano. As from 2003 he has been taught by Ivan Karpati at the Musikschule Dornbirn. In 2007 he was discovered at the Internationales Klavierfestival junger Meister and taken on by the worldwide renowned Prof. Karl-Heinz Kämmerling in his class for the highly gifted and talented at the Mozarteum Salzburg. Later he changed to the University of Music, Drama and Media Hanover, where he studied under Prof. Kämmerling until the early summer of 2012. Currently Aaron Pilsan studies under Lars Vogt in Hanover. In addition, he attended master classes with Alfred Brendel, Matti Raekallio and Andreas Schiff

He already made a name for himself in some international competitions including first prizes such as the Rotary-Jugend-Musikpreis of the Rotary Club Friedrichshafen-Lindau, performances at the “Prima la Musica” at Austrian federal level, the Grotrian-Steinweg competition in Brunswick as well as the Wendl&Lung competition. Furthermore, he received a noteworthy second prize at the Jeunesse-Competition in Bucharest. In 2014 he won the ZF Musikpreis. Besides his previous performances at the Internationales Klavierfestival junger Meister in 2007, 2009, 2011 and 2013 his engagements led him i. a. to the Schwetzinger Festspielen, the Bregenzer Festpielen, the Heimbacher Kammermusikfestival “Spannungen”, the Langenargener Schlosskonzerten or the Bad Kissinger Klavierolymp. In autumn 2012, he made his celebrated debut at the Schubertiade in Hohenems.
