Since 2001, the ZF Art Foundation hosts the ZF Music Award which recognizes the extraordinary performance of highly talented young pianists. Six highly skilled pianists are nominated every two years and invited to compete in the piano contest for the ZF Music Award. An international three-person jury selects the award winners in a public contest. Each of the three public competitive concerts excels through a specific range of pieces and thus, offers the audience a particularly exciting and diverse music event in the Lake Constance region; moreover, visitors are given the opportunity to recognize their personal favorite with an audience award. The winner receives 10,000 €. Second place is awarded 5,000 €. Third place receives a cash prize of 3,000 €.

Idea

Since 1999, the ZF Art Foundation and Peter Vogel have been working together. It is their joint declared target to not only promote exceptional young talents but, in parallel, to also offer exceptional music events in the Lake Constance region in order to enable the audience to gain new, completely different insights into the world of music.

Each of the three competitive public concerts excels through a specific range of pieces and thus, offers the audience a particularly exciting and diverse music event. Moreover, on each of the three evenings, visitors have the opportunity to recognize their personal favorite with the audience award.
