RE-SEARCH. ZF Fellowship for Artists (since 2025)
Artists contribute to the diversity and richness of our culture; they experiment, reflect, and question societal processes. Engaging with artistic positions broadens our view of the world, opens new perspectives, can raise awareness, and initiate important innovative impulses and changes.
The ZF Fellowship RE-SEARCH is a new multi-year funding program by the ZF Art Foundation that explicitly supports the work of the Zeppelin Museum Friedrichshafen.
The artistic exploration project RE-SEARCH is endowed with 30,000 euros per year and enables a contemporary artist to develop and produce innovative artworks in close dialogue with the Zeppelin Archive or the collections of the Zeppelin Museum. The goal is to develop site- and context-specific works that place the museum’s collections in new interpretive contexts and expand them.
Archives play a central role in preserving memories and identities. Artists can explore archives to research and represent personal and collective histories. By engaging with archival materials or collections, artists can develop entirely new narratives, tell stories, and interpret historical events in new contexts.
