Information
The ZF Art Foundation was founded in 1990. The 75th anniversary of ZF Friedrichshafen AG was a welcome occasion to take the commitment to art and culture, which is an integral part of the corporate identity, in a new direction. ZF wanted to set an example and create an institution that would last and benefit the people of the Lake Constance region, including many ZF employees, in the long term.
Fine Arts
The promotion and communication of contemporary art is a central concern of the ZF Art Foundation. Since 1996, the foundation has been awarding grants to visual artists from Germany, Austria, Liechtenstein and Switzerland. [...]
Music
The Internationale Konzertverein Bodensee e.V. and the ZF Art Foundation have been working together since 1999. Their common goals are to promote young, highly talented pianists and to establish extraordinary music projects that give audiences new insights into the world of music.
The International Young Masters Piano Festival, which takes place every two years, is closely linked to the ZF Music Prize, with which the ZF Art Foundation honours exceptional talent among young pianists every two years.

Film
The Friedrichshafen Film Days offer visitors of all ages a varied choice of short and documentary films, as well as the opportunity of contact with young film makers whom the ZF Art Foundation would like to specifically support with the ZF Short Film Award for the best short film and the public prize. The sponsorship sum of the ZF Short Film Award amounting to 15,000 € was set with the intention of enabling the production of a new short film. [...]
